Have You Forgot/Lost your Pattern Lock On Your Android - Here's How
Hi guys, Now you don't need to go to Cellphone Repair Shop because you lost or forgot your pattern/password/code on your Android Phone, Lock is an most important feature in android phones because by using them you can lock your mobile phone to secure your information about personal credentials, important links and other files from unwanted users.
I listed here two methods mostly the persons do Factory reset but the disadvantage of this method is we lost all data. But don’t worry both the methods are secure you and your data.

Method 1:- Unlock Phone Pattern On Android Lock Without Losing Data
Requirements:-
- Download Aroma File Manager.
- Mobile Phone Memory Card.
- First you have to download Aroma File Manager zip file and then copy the zip file in memory card(sd card) then insert the memory card in your locked android phone.
- Then reboot your device and open Stock Recovery Mode by pressing Power Key and Volume up key simultaneously. May be there are different methods to open stock recovery mode on different devices so if you get any problem you can search on Google How To Open Recovery Mode in android phone.
- When you get in recovery mode you can use Volume- and Volume+ buttons to scroll up and down. For enter select middle button.
- Then click on “Install Zip from SD Card” option and then select install “Aroma File Manager” from SD card.
- Then you will get in Recovery Mode.
- After the above steps from Aroma File Manager go to settings >> in the bottom and click on“Automount all devices on start” and then exit.
- Do again the step 5 & 6.
- Then you will get in “Aroma File Manager” again.
- Now go to >> Data Folder >> System Folder and search >> “gesture.key” or “password.key” for pattern lock or password lock respectively and delete the file.
- After deleting the gesture.key file exit from all settings and reboot your device and then you will see the pattern lock is still there but don’t worry create any pattern on it and it will open.
Note:- If there is question in your mind that you can set patter lock again ? then the answer is YES you can set patter lock again from the settings. In this method you will see your all data will be there so securely you can unlock your android phone without losing any data with this above method.
Method2:- Unlock Android Pattern Lock Without Losing Data
- In this method first you have to download Android SDK. I explain here How you can download and install Android SDK tools.
- To run ADB commands download and install Android SDK Tools. You can download on Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.
- From the given packages select the Android SDK Platform Tools and uncheck the other tools. Next click on install packages like given in the image.
- Secondly USB Debugging should be activated before the device locked.
- Install the compatible drivers otherwise may be you will face an error while in the process. so install specific and compatible drivers for your android phone.
Process To Unlock Android Pattern Lock
- Now connect your phone via USB.
- Next open the folder where you installed Android SDK Tools Users >> App Data >> Local >> Android >> Android-SDK >> Platform-Tools and then hold shift and click right mouse button on the blank space and click on “Open Command Window Here”
- Now you will see the command window and you have to put some commands in it.
Check Your Device is connected or not, put command:-
adb devices
adb shell
cd /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases
sqlite3 settings.db
update system set value=0 where name=’lock_pattern_autolock’;
update system set value=0 where name=’lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently’;
.quitIf the above commands not working put:-
adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key
4. After the all steps reboot your android device and it is done. You will see the pattern lock will be disabled.
Note: If your data cable is not enable USB Debugging then you will not proceed further so it is must your data cable should be enable USB debugging. If it is not then you can follow the 1st Method.
